The publication took nominations and conducted polling throughout the first quarter, with the awards honoring the firms and players that most successfully navigated the securitization market in 2015, a year of intense change for the industry. GlobalCapital would like to thank all of the winners, attendees and individuals who voted for the awards, without whom the event would not be possible.
The methodology involved a call for nominations that lasted four weeks, in which anyone could put themselves or their clients up for an award. GlobalCapital assembled the short lists using the nominations received, peer review among investors conducted by the publication and GlobalCapital’s own research. For the actual voting, respondents could not vote for their own firm but could vote for deals in which their organization was involved. For votes to be valid, respondents were asked to provide their names, firm and contact details. GlobalCapital received approximately 300 unique valid responses from broad range of market participants.
The winners in each category represent the firms and players that demonstrated skill, flexibility and innovation in what was an unpredictable and sometimes difficult year for the securitization market, as chosen by their peers and colleagues.
