The winner, as voted by the market, was 3i Debt Management's Harvest IX CLO, arranged by Credit Suisse.
We would like to offer both 3i and Credit Suisse our congratulations. We thank everyone who took the time to vote in the poll, as well as the banks who submitted deals, and look forward to next year's award.
The shortlist was as follows:
Oaktree Capital Management’s €375m Arbour CLO, closed June May 2014 – Arranger: Barclays
Sankaty Advisors’ €361.4m Newhaven CLO, closed November 2014 – Arranger: Citi
3i ’s €525m Harvest IX CLO, closed July 2014 – Arranger: Credit Suisse
3i's €466.5m Harvest X CLO, closed November 2014 – Arranger: HSBC
Alcentra’s €566.7m Jubilee CLO 2014-XIV, closed October 2014 – Arranger: Morgan Stanley
To make the shortlist, GlobalCapital contacted the top 10 arrangers of euro CLOs in 2014, according to Dealogic league tables. We asked each arranger to submit one deal for consideration. Some banks chose not to submit a transaction.
The shortlist was then put to a market vote. Voters were not allowed to choose their own deal - such votes were discounted.
