But when he decided to travel to Hong Kong for fun, there was little excitement on his face. “I didn't know Hong Kong was this expensive,” he sighed. As every expense had to come out of his own pocket, he flew a low-cost carrier, crashed at his friend’s place and swapped his typical airport limo pick-up service for the metro.
It’s not like he’s poor — the chap owns a couple of Ferraris and villas in the Swiss Alps — but was just a bit of a cheapskate. (He recently took his team to Pizza Express for Christmas lunch!)
But when it came time for a drink at the Captain’s Bar, he became Father Christmas. Now that’s what I call getting into the holiday spirit. Goodwill to all men, and bankers!
