India dismisses sovereign bond plans
Indian officials on Wednesday played down reports the country was considering a sovereign bond sale, after suggestions that a dollar benchmark would help Indian banks and companies raise money in the stricken international markets. The reports of a potential deal come as debt markets bankers are predicting that only sovereign issuers will be able to access the international capital markets in the near future.
