Peripheral woes mean EM stars burn brighter
Emerging market sovereigns go into 2011 as the new superstars of the bond markets. Throughout the last year they increasingly attracted investors turning away from western European paper. But is the enthusiasm of these investors a knee-jerk reaction to the volatility of developed markets, or have the emerging market sovereigns really come through the crisis stronger than they were before?
