Nice volumes, but don’t expect a repeat

Asia Pacific’s loan market set a record for volumes in 2011, but few will remember the year positively. Rising funding costs, tougher syndications, secondary selling, big headline risk, angry borrowers, and battered investors come to mind when most bankers look back on last year. Matthew Thomas reports.
