Industry stalwarts Citi and Deutsche Bank have maintained their dominance of Asia-Pacific’s cash management services, according to the largest set of voters to ever participate in an Asiamoney Cash Management Poll.
This year marks the magazine’s 20th annual survey of the region’s cash management service providers. In total, 470 financial institutions and 2,759 corporates participated.
As in previous years, Asiamoney sent one set of questionnaires to senior treasury and finance executives in listed companies, multinationals, small-and-medium-enterprises and unlisted companies, and a separate questionnaire for individuals responsible for cash management or correspondent banking within financial institutions across Asia-Pacific.
Citi remains a firm favourite with many of our respondents. Both small and medium-sized companies continued to favour US bank for the second year running. Additionally it was preferred by small and medium-sized financial institutions, too.
However Deutsche beat Citi into second place for its cash management coverage of small corporates of under US$100 million, while it retained the preference of Asia’s largest financial institutions.
