Lionrock International and Executive Access have been voted as the second and third best firms in the contingent category for Asia ex-Japan, while Executive Access and Wellesley Partners are voted as the second- and third-best overall companies for retained services.

Meanwhile Steven McCrindle of Hedrick & Struggles is voted the top executive in Japan, and James Graham of T2 Tokyo and Bruce Baker of Sheffield Haworth respectively follow.

This year’s poll also introduced a Peer Poll, in which recruitment companies ranked their rivals. In this unique survey Heidrick & Struggles is considered the top firm in Asia ex-Japan, followed by Wellesley Partners and Global Sage. In Japan, Michael Page International takes the honours, with Heidricks & Struggles and Robert Walters being placed in second and third respectively. Meanwhile recruitment executives have voted John Wright and May Koon of Global Sage to respectively be the best and second-best executives for Asia ex-Japan, while Christian Brun follows in third. In Japan, Nao Batangan of Michael Page International and Simon Spencer of Spencer Associates are tied at first place.
