UBS Wealth Management continues to be regarded as Asia’s leading private bank by the region’s wealthiest individuals. The Swiss bank has once again been voted the favourite bank by people with a net worth of over US$5 million in Asiamoney’s latest and largest Private Banking Poll.
EFG Private Bank is also considered a leading wealth adviser, topping the survey’s US$1 million-US$5 million category.
The poll was distributed to high-net-worth individuals who have funds under management with private banks across Asia-Pacific. The poll results were based on 4,308 valid responses this year.
As in previous years the responses were divided into three separate categories, according to the level of assets under management (AUM) held by each respondent with private banks in the region.

UBS Wealth Management has also swept all three categories in China and Taiwan this year, but it ranks behind ABN Amro Private Banking in the Singapore’s US$ 5.01 million-US$25 million category.
In India local player AnandRathi makes an impressive debut to top all three categories. It displaces Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, which had dominated the sub-continent in previous years.
Local banks in Korea and Malaysia are also increasing their presence. Hana Bank and CIMB Private Banking respectively top the US$1 million-US$5 million category in the two countries.
