My nephew and a colleague were recently asked to visit a company in high up in the mountains in Western China, that hoped to come to market later this year. The lads, both quite active and fit, took on the task with gusto, ready to spend a few days in a rural town in less than five-star accommodation.
Little did the chaps know that it wouldn't be the bumpy roads or street food that would present the biggest obstacles, but the town’s location. Both were struck down out by altitude sickness that kept them from getting any work done.
It only goes to show that a healthy, gym-conscious life can’t always save you!
