Unilever takes green bonds into new sphere, new pricing
Green bonds are sweeping the corporate sector, and Unilever’s £250m issue in March was an important marker. Unilever does not have vast windfarms to finance, but had to tie the bond to very specific and careful improvements in environmental performance. It also began to break the green bond market’s pricing taboo. Jon Hay reports.
