Since the end of last year GlobalCapital has been working to identify the stand-out market participants in the Americas derivatives markets. These firms are presented below in the official nominee list.
This was a year unlike any other in recent memory, however. The ravages of the coronavirus wreaked havoc for a time in the financial markets and that chaos has only been stymied by colossal central bank and government support.
But the derivatives industry has also played its part in that fight and this year we are introducing some special awards to recognise the firms that stood up in the toughest of times in 2020 to support their clients and their market.
These awards are open to any company in each category. If your firm wishes to be considered, please tell us why.
Nominees are invited to meet GlobalCapital from the beginning of February until the end of March to pitch as to why they deserve to be firm of the year in their category.
Judges will be looking for examples of innovation, growth and working for the betterment of the derivatives industry, as well as extraordinary effort on behalf of clients.
Each award is judged by nominees’ innovations in product and service, commitments to new markets, improvements in efficiency, liquidity and market stability, as well as client guidance.
Winners will be decided by an editorial panel and then announced in May.
