The awards this year honoured outstanding achievement in US structured finance by banks, issuers, investors, law firms, rating agencies and service providers in 2019. The publication took nominations in each category for two months at the beginning of 2020 and polled the market to determine the winners, collecting nearly 2,300 responses. We believe that the excellent turnout for these awards truly makes them a reflection of the market and of the impressive achievements of each of the winners.
In addition to a rigorous polling process, the publication also took pitches from institutions in the categories of Best Securitization Bank of the Year, Most Innovative Securitization Bank of the Year, Most Innovative Securitization Deal of the Year and Rating Agency Research Team of the Year. A dozen firms participated in this process, all of which put forward highly compelling and impressive pitches.
