Dombret: Germany serves as a confidence anchor for the euro
Since 2010, Andreas Dombret has been a member of the executive board of the Bundesbank, where he is currently responsible for the Department of Banking and Financial Supervision. Before joining the Bundesbank, the American-born Dombret gained a wealth of experience of the international banking industry at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Rothschild Germany and Bank of America, where he was head of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as vice-chairman for Europe. As he is also co-chair of the Financial Stability Board’s Regional Consultative Group (RCG) for Europe, Dombret is well positioned to comment both on Germany’s economy and banking industry, and on the challenges and opportunities facing the broader European financial services sector.
