MTN Leak: Inter-Luton

Tokai Tokyo’s Pav Sagoo might not be quite at the heartthrob level of Hollywood’s Matthew McConaughey, but when it comes to adventures in dangerous places the MTN man leaves the actor far behind.

McConaughey stars in Christopher Nolan’s new film Interstellar as a farmer/pilot who heads out into space to find the answer to the survival of the human race (we maintain he should have just hit the "I’m feeling lucky" button on Google).

But that was nothing compared to the lengthy expedition that Pav and his wife had to go through to watch Nolan’s new film… in Luton.

Interstellar is a long film, with a running time of 169 minutes. Which with trailers, adverts and mechanical failures (Luton…) easily equates to three hours plus. So if you go to the cinema in the late afternoon/evening, you’re coming out at night.

Much to their dismay, that was the situation Pav and his wife found themselves in on the weekend. After watching McConaughey travel through the darkest and loneliest depths of space to reach a new solar system in a desperate attempt to save mankind, Pav was confronted with real fear.

“We were in Luton at about 11.30pm at night,” he told Leak. “We just had to make a dash for the car.”

Luckily, this story has a happy ending. Pav and his wife made it home safely. But it appeared on Monday that the trauma of the experience had not warn off.

“I’ve spent all morning drying my shoes,” said Pav on Monday. Leak suspects they were sodden with tears. Lucky for him it was raining that day.
