Credit Suisse First Boston has hired Alex Melis, head of the fixed-income Dutch sales team at BNP Paribas in London, in a similar role. Melis will report to Eraj Shirvani, head of credit sales and trading in London, who did not return calls by press time. Rebecca O'Neill, spokeswoman at CSFB, declined comment.
At BNP Paribas, Melis reported to Stefano Paschetto, head of fixed-income derivatives marketing, and was responsible for the distribution of interest-rate and global credit products into Holland. Paschetto declined comment. Ruth Lavelle, spokeswoman in London, confirmed the move. Melis could not be reached for comment.
