Benchmarks still borrowers’ best friends
Issuers big and small remain convinced of the value of benchmarks, despite often better prices to be found in private placements or smaller bonds. Deal size, diversity of order books, name visibility and liquidity are the key attractions, which if anything have become even more appealing since the onset of the credit crisis.
