Covered bonds ready for rapid ascent

The potential for covered bond issuance from CEEMEA is immense but to date the volume of outstanding deals is small compared to western Europe. Nonetheless, coming from such a small base, the growth potential cannot be understated, particularly given the demands of Basel III. Bill Thornhill reports.
