Tough markets across Europe and the ever-present prospect of pulled deals characterised the first half of 2011. And yet for Germany, the equity capital markets were still, even by July, shaping up for an exceptional year, with a tantalising selection of deals on the fourth quarter menu. But the eurozone debt crisis put paid to that — leaving an uncertain future. Nick Jacob reports.
